About the Authors

CLAUDIA PAGANO, RN, BSN, is a critical care nurse at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Salinas, California. She was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus in 1991 and immediately organized a lupus support group for Monterey and surrounding counties. Under her leadership, the group joined the Bay Area Lupus Foundation, which is a chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America. She has been interviewed in local newspapers and magazines, and receives referrals from physicians and other health care providers who have lupus patients requesting information and support.

MARY MCCLURE GOULDING, MSW, and her late husband, Robert L Goulding, MD, developed Redecision psychotherapy, which they taught at their Western Institute and in many countries throughout the world Goulding is one of three women to be honored as a major presenter at all Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences, 1985, 1990, 1995, and in Germany in 1994. She has published 6 books.
